Oral Hygiene Tips

Brushing your teeth and flossing is an important part of a healthy routine. Our office recommends:

  • Brushing twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of the brush should allow you to reach all areas of your mouth.
  • Replacing your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months, or more frequently if the bristles are worn out or frayed.
  • Using a fluoride toothpaste.
  • Cleaning daily in between teeth with floss to ensure you are cleaning where the toothbrush bristles don't reach. This helps to remove plaque and bacteria under the gumline and between teeth.
  • Eating a balanced diet and limiting snacks and drinks (other than water) between meals.
